When considering a thread lift, it is important to learn what tissue is intended to be supported and to what extent. This procedure is not the same as a surgical face lift and should not be expected to provide the same result in significant sagging. Skin thickness, tissue movement, previous facial procedures, and target change should be evaluated together in a personal examination.

Distinguishing laxity from volume loss

The shadow on the face, drooping cheeks or lower facial lines may not occur for a single reason. Volume loss, skin structure and tissue laxity are different topics. Thread lift can be evaluated with a specific tissue support target; It doesn't solve every problem. The physician examines the movement of tissue and different areas of the face. Explain clearly which view makes you think. It should not be assumed that it is suitable for anyone with significant sagging or tissue overload. Options such as not taking any action, different applications or surgical opinion can be discussed depending on the individual situation. The lifting movement in the photo is not a guarantee of permanent results.

Skin thickness and previous procedures

Thin skin, tissue structure and existing asymmetry should be evaluated in terms of the risk of threads being felt or visible contours. If you have had a facelift, filler, thread lift, or other facial procedure before, share the date and known details. This record is useful if the type and placement of previous strings are known. If you have had infections, bumps, long-lasting pain, or tissue irregularities in the past, do not keep it. The physician should evaluate the relationship of the new plan with old practices. Adding new ip won't fix every old problem. In some cases, the examination may result in a decision to postpone, additional examination or a different approach.

Learning the thread type and the rationale for the plan

Different materials and rope designs such as PDO, PLLA or PCL are not the same thing. Ask the physician the exact name of the recommended thread and why it was chosen. Do not consider thread count alone as a measure of quality or results. Placement, tissue support, and personal anatomy are part of the plan. Suggestions made on social media through a specific number or line do not indicate your suitability. The duration of the result and the level of change may vary from person to person. Just because the material is absorbable does not mean that every complaint will go away quickly on its own. Discuss in advance what evaluation options are available in case of problems.

Health history and recovery expectation

Active infection, bleeding tendency, medications used, and immune system problems may affect suitability. Report pregnancy or breastfeeding status and previous recovery problems. Provide full medication list, including supplements; Do not stop any medication at your own discretion. Your work, sports, dental work and travel dates may affect your care plan. Although thread lift is a different procedure compared to surgery, it is not a method without risks or recovery. Discuss the possibility of temporary withdrawal, tenderness, and discomfort in facial movements. A completely scarless and instantly social appearance cannot be guaranteed for everyone.

Understanding the risks and alternative decision

Bruising, swelling, pain, asymmetry, and skin dimpling or irregularities may occur. Problems such as infection, thread being felt or coming out, nerve damage, and ongoing pain should also be discussed. Find out who will provide evaluation for these symptoms. Significant facial movement disorder, increasing pain, fever, or discharge should be reported without delay. The physician explains the achievable change and alternatives; The same effect or fixed duration of permanence as surgery is not promised. Ask for time to review the consent information and understand the aftercare plan. You don't have to decide on the same day; The result of the suitability examination may be not to proceed with the procedure.

Is thread lift the same as a surgical face lift?

No. Scope, eligibility conditions and outcome limits vary. The same change should not be expected with surgery in significant sagging; Options should be discussed during a personal examination.

Does more thread provide better results?

There is no such rule. The characteristics of material, design, layout and texture are evaluated together. Number alone is not an indicator of safety or quality.

Does the absorbable thread mean that every problem will pass quickly?

No. Complaints such as infection, visible thread, or persistent pain require evaluation. Change of material over time does not replace urgent or necessary examination.

This article does not replace an individual clinical examination. CNR Aesthetics helps coordinate your enquiry and appointment with a partner clinic; the physician assessing you determines medical suitability, product selection and whether to proceed. Bring your questions to the consultation, request written aftercare instructions, and seek medical care for urgent symptoms without waiting for a message response.
